Two small children were removed from a home that had no running water, Thursday.

Two small children were placed into the care of a relative after authorities found their home to be unfit. According to the Ross County Sheriff's Office, deputies conducted a welfare check at a home on the 3100-block of South Bridge Street, Thursday. The homeowner, Arron Seward, allowed authorities inside the home that had no food nor running water. Authorities say there were piles of trash, bugs, and a marijuana pipe in the home, which authorities said Seward admitted to using.

Children's Services released Seward's 4- and 3-year-old children to a relative. The children's mother was said to have been at the hospital.

Seward was cited for child endangerment and possession of drug paraphernalia.
