On Friday, a parent advised her child was given alum powder as punishment.

Authorities are investigating allegations against a Twin Township daycare. According to a report from the Ross County Sheriff's Office, a concerned parent reported her child said kids at the daycare were told by an employee to consume alum powder, a white chalky substance, as punishment.

The parent told authorities she was advised by the unlicensed provider on Meadow Drive that the employee had been fired.

The report indicated authorities had not yet made direct contact with the daycare owner, who has not been charged the matter.

The owner did not immediately return Clear Channel's request for comment.
