Police say John Raddatz tried to steal over $1,100 worth of goods from Wal-Mart.
Authorities say a man was arrested for trying to steal a cart full of merchandise, Thursday night. Wal-Mart Loss Prevention told Chillicothe Police John Raddatz walked past all points of sale and fled after employees asked to see a receipt for the unbagged goods in his cart.
He was later found in a weeded area near the store parking lot.
Raddatz is accused of trying to steal over $1,170-worth of items, including: food, hygiene items, video games, DVDs, and hunting items.
He was taken to the Ross County Jail on a charge of felony theft.
