Authorities say the 4 bones likely belonged to an animal.

The Emmitt House in Waverly, which was built back in 1861 and most recently served as a restaurant, is considered by some individuals to be haunted. In fact, a ghost hunt was held in the building on Saturday during which four small bones were found. Waverly Police Chief Larry Roe says his office was then called to the scene.

"There were some bones underneath a rock, but I've just returned from the coroner's office here, and he believes them to be animal bones," he said.

The Emmitt House has been a site visited by paranormal investigators on claims of possible paranormal activity.
