No cause on the East Main Street blaze of a well-known bowling alley and roller rink

There are no known injuries from a huge fire that destroyed the Circle D Bowling Alley and Skating Rink in Circleville.

The fire on East Main St. was reported just after midnight. Fire chief Tim Tener says part of the structure had collapsed when they arrived just before midnight. At 6am Tuesday, a back hoe was called-in to tear down more of the remaining building so firefighters could extinguish the fire in the basement.

Firefighters from Pickaway and Fairfield Counties helped battle the flames, which could be seen for miles.

State Fire Marshal officials say the investigation of the scene could take several days.

The business had been in the downtown of Circleville for a half-century.
