Authorities arrested two Pike County men in the Tuesday incident.
Authorities say two men were arrested for attempting to steal a vehicle earlier this week. According to the Pike County Sheriff's Office, a deputy saw the men standing next to a parked car at 4 a.m., Tuesday, at a S.R. 104 park and ride. The officer suspected criminal activity after seeing one man wearing socks over his hands, holding a hammer and screwdrivers, and appearing to tamper with a vehicle.
28-year-old Adam M. McCune, of Waverly, and 32-year-old Mark L. Stiff, of Piketon, are facing felony charges of attempted theft of a motor vehicle and possession of criminal tools.
