Children can register into the database at the Ross County Fair.

The Ross County Sheriff's Department is continuing a program that helps parents protect their children in the event that they cannot be found.

Sheriff George Lavender said it only takes about five minutes to register a child in Kid Print: "It keeps a database for us and a card for the parents of the child, you know, the description, the finger prints of the child, so that if that child ever becomes lost or kidnapped, we have all that on file."

Parents are recommended to have their children's information updated in Kid Print every two years.

Kid Print is currently being offered at the Sheriff's booth at the Ross County Fair from noon to 8pm, daily; however, it will also be available at the Project School Tools distribution at the Salvation Army in Chillicothe on Tuesday from 10am to 3pm.
