Steer's chickens and Rabbits sold
Steer sales kicked off auctions on the final day of the Ross County Fair, Saturday. Kannon Straughsbaugh's Grand Champion Steer sold for $5,500 to Litter Quality Propane. The Reserve, raised by Trent Downs, was auctioned off at $4,250 to Drake Farms Seed of Chillicothe and JD Equipment of Washington Court House.
At the Ross County Fair's 2012 Chicken Sale, the Grand Champion pen, of Morgan Miller, sold for $1,200 to The Animal Care Clinic - Dr. Lisa Pelfrey. Ashlyn Grubb's Reserve Champion was auctioned at $1,300 to a group of local businesses.
Dylana Gragg's Pen of Two Grand Champion Rabbit at the Ross County Fair sold Saturday for $1,800 dollars to Waters Edge Canoe Livery, Dairy Queen and other area businesses.
Madison Rebman's Reserve Champion Rabbit sold for $1,750 to The Animal Care Clinic - Dr. Lisa Pelfrey.
Aaron Grubb's Grand Champion Homegrown Rabbit sold for $750 dollars to Carnes Reality Ross County Sheriff George Lavender and the Ross County Republican Party.
Alec Graves Reserve Grand Champion Homegrown Rabbit sold for $1,600 and was purchased by Litter Quality Propane, Ware Funeral Home, Dave Strickland Insurance, Kingston National Bank, VFW Post 108, Huntington National Bank, Coughlin Automotive and McDonald's.
