Plans are to vote on a plan to bolster state pension funds

The Ohio Senate voted before summer recess on proposed changes that will make state pension plans solvent for the next three decades, but the Ohio House is still waiting to act on the bill.

State Representative Gary Scherer explains the House had been waiting for a study on the pension plans' financial condition before acting on the bill. That plan is now ready.

Scherer says the House is expected to go back into session in mid September.
