A 15-year-old boy claims to have been injured
A Chillicothe man has been arrested after allegedly assaulting a 15-year-old boy.
A local juvenile told Ross County Sheriff deputies that on September 1st, a girl he knew from school invited him over to her Chester Hill Road home to watch a movie, while her father was out of the house.
After the father arrived at the house, the girl told the juvenile that it was her father and the boy should hide in the bathroom. The father is identified as Darren Edgington.
Mr. Edgington discovered the boy and allegedly struck him in the face three times and kicked him numerous times. He then drove the boy home and while driving, Edgington reportedly said to the boy- "I wish I had a gun so I could kill you", and threatened him several times.
Edgington later told Sheriff Deputies that when he entered the bathroom he thought he saw the boy holding something that looked like a gun.
The deputies photographed the boys injuries that consisted of a severely bruised left eye, a sore neck and several scratches.
Edgington has been arrested and charged with assault.
