Needy Ross Countians are encouraged to participate September 6th and 10th
Free fresh fruit and vegetables will be distributed at one site and a mobile market will be open at another to provide food for qualified, low-income Ross County residents.
Mt. Tabor Community Christian Church will host the produce giveaway this Thursday from 10am to noon, at the church community building, 6043 Mt. Tabor Road.
Hope Clinic of Ross County will sponsor the mobile food market on Sept. 10th, 5:30pm to 7pm, in the parking lot at the Ross County Service Center, 475 Western Avenue.
For both events, individuals must bring a photo ID and sign a form that indicates their income eligibility. They are asked to bring heavy duty bags, boxes or carts to carry food items home.
Sponsored by the Ross County Hunger Summit and Mid-Ohio Food Bank, the produce giveaway is one in a series of distributions throughout the city and county through October.. The mobile food market continues on the second and fourth Mondays of each month through December.
It is sponsored by Hope Clinic and Mid-Ohio Food Bank in cooperation with the Hunger Summit and the Ross County Commissioners.
