One Dead In Saturday Morning Crash

18 year old Alisha Lett of Waverly was pronounced dead at the scene.

The Chillicothe Post of the Ohio State Highway Patrol is investigating a two-vehicle fatal crash that occurred early Saturday morning.

According to the patrol, 18 year old Kyle A. Roar of Piketon was driving a 2007 Chevrolet Aveo at approximately 1:36 a.m.when he failed to yield while turning left onto State Route 32 from the US 23 southbound ramp. His vehicle was struck by an eastbound 2004 Ford F-150 driven by 43 year old James F. Fitzgerald of Leeper, Pennsylvania.

Roar had three passengers in his vehicle including 17 year old Anthony Woolridge of Piketon, 15 year old Jessica M. Smallwood of Waverly, and 18 year old Alisha Lett of Waverly. Woolridge and Smallwood suffered serious injuries. Alisha Lett was pronounced dead at the scene.

Fitzgerald and his passenger, 46 year old Robert S. Grecco of West Millford, New Jersey, suffered minor injuries.

The crash remains under investigation
