Ross-23 restrictions start Wednesday night
Lane restrictions on U.S. 23 in Ross County will go into effect this evening as part of the ongoing resurfacing project between the Scioto River Bridge at the U.S. 35 split and the Three Locks Road/S.R. 104 exit.
Contractors for the Ohio Department of Transportation will impart additional restrictions each night this week, with the route reduced to one lane in each direction for joint repair, saw cutting and paving operations. The single-lane restriction in either the north or southbound lanes will be within the six-lane section of the highway, between the splits of the bypass.
Weather permitting, operations will be in effect from approximately 6pm Wednesday to 2pm Thursday, and the schedule will be repeated again Thursday and Friday. Crews are also scheduled to work from 6pm Friday night until 10am Saturday.
Motorists are advised to expect periods of delay and to exercise additional caution when traveling through the construction zone.
