$340,000 will be given to the Tarlton Readiness Center in Pickaway County for improvements.
State Senator Tom Schaffer announced that $340,000 in state funds have been approved, Monday, in support of renovations at the Tarlton Readiness Center in Pickaway County.
The funds will be used to repair or replace electrical, plumbing, and HVAC systems at the readiness center that were originally installed in 1968. The Army National Guard Facilities Program will provide matching federal funds in support of the project.
"Ohio’s National Guard units provide critical support to operations both here in Ohio and throughout the globe, and these renovations will ensure our military personnel have up-to-date facilities as they fulfill their duties and training," Schaffer said.
"The Tarlton Readiness Center is adjacent to an important training area, and these renovations will ensure it remains a key asset for the National Guard for the foreseeable future."
