Authorities say it was a brief case with a journal and Bible.
Authorities were dispatched to the Chillicothe Transit Facility on Seventh Street on a report of a suspicious package, Tuesday. Transit officials told Chillicothe Police that a "mentally ill" frequent passenger left a brief case with the dispatcher at 7:15 a.m. and told him to have the Transit Director and Fleet Manager open it. Authorities say the contents included a journal and other pieces of paper with incoherent ramblings written on them and a Bible.
Transit officials said the man has been filing complaints on the bus drivers for a while.
Police found him near Adena Hospital where he said he left the brief case there because he is "fed up with the city transit" and how they are out to get his alleged ex-girlfriend, but also because he wanted the transit officials to give the contents to her.
Authorities say the man, who had suicidal thoughts yet refused to seek treatment, was to be transported to Adena for an evaluation.
