Event to combat homelessness
An educational/awareness event with an emphasis on discussing the problem of homelessness in Ross County will be held on November 16th from 4:30 p.m. to 9:00 a.m. on Saturday November 17th in Chillicothe's Yoctangee Park.
The event "One Night Without A Home" will also act as a fundraising event with all donations collected to be distributed to the Ross County homeless shelters.
Donations can include money as well as household goods/dishes, furniture, clothing, etc.
Following the educational portion, attendees will be asked to show their solidarity with the local homeless population by spending the night in the park (no tents; only sleeping bags/blankets, tarps or boxes).
The rain or shine event will be free of charge, and food will be provided.
