The local public hearing is on Thursday, December 6. It'll start at 6pm at the Vinton County Community Building.
The Ohio Power Siting Board (OPSB) will hold a public hearing in McArthur to give area residents a chance to testify about AEP Transmission Company’s proposal to construct the 138 kilovolt Elk Transmission project, which includes a proposed transmission line loop that would replace existing distribution lines with transmission lines.
AEP Transco has submitted a preferred and alternate route for the Board’s consideration; the preferred route is 17 miles long and extends from Vinton County into Jackson County, while the alternate is 16 miles long, ending within Vinton County.
