Suspect Sought in Portsmouth Hit & Run

The driver is said to be a white female with blonde hair in her late 20’s to mid 30’s.

The Portsmouth Post of the Ohio State Highway Patrol is currently investigating a hit skip crash involving a pedestrian that occurred on Tuesday evening at approximately 6:00 p.m. The crash occurred on Carey’s Run Pond Creek Road near Bellamy Road.

Roger M. Gallimore, 70, of Portsmouth was walking northbound on Carey’s Run Pond Creek Road when he was struck by an unknown vehicle. The vehicle continued on northbound and Mr. Gallimore was found in a nearby ditch.

According to physical evidence and eye witness accounts the vehicle is believed to be a dark grey or black S.U.V. with damage to the passenger side.  The driver is a white female with blonde hair in her late 20’s to mid 30’s. Anyone with additional information is encouraged to contact the Portsmouth Post of the Ohio State Highway Patrol.

Mr. Gallimore was transported to SOMC with serious, but non-life threatening injuries. The crash still remains under investigation at this time.
