Portsmouth HP Investigates Injury Crash

Alcohol is suspected as being a factor in the crash and it is still under investigation.

The Portsmouth Post of the Ohio State Highway Patrol is investigating an injury crash.  The crash occurred on November 13, 2012 at approximately 5:58 PM.  Amy M. Keaton, 36 of Stout, was driving a 1998 Pontiac Firebird convertible westbound on US 52 west of SR 125.  Ms. Keaton traveled left of center, overcorrected, traveled off the right side of the roadway, struck a tree and overturned coming to rest on her top.  She was not injured.

Thayler Sweet, 24 of Stout, was a front passenger in the vehicle and was transported to Southern Ohio Medical Center by Nile Township EMS.  Dillon Breach, 17 of Stout, was a rear passenger in the vehicle.  He was trapped inside the vehicle for approximately 20 minutes before being freed by the Nile Township Fire Department.  He was flown to Cabell Huntington Medical Center by AirEvac.
