Don't throw trash or food into recycling bins

With the increase in municipal solid waste generated during the holidays, there is also an increase in the use (and abuse) of recycling drop-off locations such as household trash and food waste in recycling boxes and bags and other items left on the ground outside the bins.

The Ross, Pickaway, Highland and Fayette Solid Waste District reminds you to recycle responsibly this holiday season. Only acceptable materials in the drop off boxes and nothing left on the ground. For more information, visit their website at
