The carpentry students are building a home the school will eventually sell.
The carpentry department of Pickaway/Ross Career & Technology Center is getting a bigger challenge than what they have been accustomed to in the past. The students are actually building a new house. Everything, except the foundation, is being done by students.
Pickaway/Ross Supervisor of Career & Technical Education, Gary Robinson, says this along with the great apprentice program they have gives students a leg-up on a future job and career.
The home under construction in the Slate Creek Cove Subdivision will likely be auctioned-off to the community once it is completed.
