Kids under age 14 can once again visit patients at Adena Health Systems hospitals
Adena Health System has lifted its restriction for visitors under the age of 14. The restriction was placed on December 17th due to a sharp increase in the number of flu cases being seen in our facilities, and to protect child visitors and Adena’s patients from unnecessary contact with those who may be carrying the flu virus.
Flu is still present in our community. However, cases seen at Adena in recent weeks have declined, prompting the lifting of the restriction for youth visitors. Members of the community are reminded to use precautions to protect themselves during the remainder of flu season. Influenza can be transmitted before people show signs or symptoms.
