Chillicothe Mayor Jack Everson says no charges were filed since no physical violence was involved.

Chillicothe's mayor is investigating an alleged altercation involving the chief of police. Mayor Jack Everson said no charges had been filed as there was no physical violence reported in the matter in which Police Chief Roger Moore allegedly got into a verbal altercation with another person at the Cozy Inn Bar and Grill, on Western Avenue, Friday night.

In an unrelated incident earlier this month, a dash cam video from the Highway Patrol shows the Chief Moore being stopped in an unmarked car for speeding. In the video, a trooper tells Moore to slow down. He was not issued a citation.

Everson said he is investigating the matter and would take the appropriate action once the review is complete.
