Authorities have charged Shannon Vanhoose and Christopher Henderson.
While many people are excited about bringing life back into the Carlisle building, some negative activity unfortunately took place there, early Thursday morning. Chillicothe Police responded to the Carlisle at Main and Paint, just before 2am, on a report of a breaking and entering in progress.
Officers who were surveillancing the area say they saw two people leaving the back of the building, and that they fled on foot when police tried to stop them.
21-year-old Shannon Vanhoose, of Waverly, and 29-year-old Christopher Henderson, of Chillicothe, were taken into custody following a short foot chase. While Henderson denied any wrongdoing, Vanhoose reportedly told police that they had been in the Carlisle.
In Vanhoose's vehicle, officers found a flower vase and silver platter, which authorities believe were stolen from the building.
Both men were arrested for breaking and entering and obstructing official business.
