Douglas Botts was ordered to two years of community control, serve a day in jail, and pay court costs.
In the Chillicothe Municipal Court, Tuesday, a plea agreement was reached in the case of a man charged with child endangering. When reached for comment, defense attorney Chase Carter said 23-year-old Douglas Botts was ordered to serve two years community control, pay court costs, complete recommendations set by Children's Services, and serve one day in jail.
Botts and 25-year-old Christine Buckalew were charged in early March after a two-year-old child was found left unattended outside of a home and wearing only a diaper in 39-degree weather.
Buckalew's hearing was set for Tuesday as well, however, calls to her attorney have not yet been returned.
