Chillicothe Police Officer Terry Brown reportedly crashed into three vehicles, Tuesday.
In Chillicothe, Tuesday, a city officer said he fell asleep while driving a cruiser. According to a police report, 48-year-old Officer Terry Brown was driving south along North Bowman Road at 5:10am when he drove off the right side and hit three parked vehicles, two of which were pushed onto the sidewalk.
According to the report, Ofc. Brown said he was driving 5mph in the 25mph zone.
"The initial investigation is conducted the same as any other traffic crash with the exception it's handled by a supervisor," said Officer Bud Lytle.
He added that following the traffic crash investigation there will be an internal investigation into Officer Brown's conduct to see if any disciplinary action is warranted.
"We determine the cause of the accident and then begin training with the officer that had the traffic crash," said Officer Bud Lytle.
There was no information yet available on the exact amount of damage caused.
