State lawmakers are currently on summer break, which gives them a chance to meet with constituents more often. State Senator Bob Peterson says a common topic of concern is Medicaid, which is a federal program administered by the state.

Medicaid is not to be confused with Medicare, which is a part of the retirement system and is an option for those 65 years or older.
