Chillicothe Council reviewed trash trucks, transit profits, and other matters Monday evening.
While excusing himself for 'beating a dead horse,' city service chair Bill Bonner had some strong words on the trash truck situation.
He said the city needs to be true to its promise to spend half of the revenue, from the $5 fee increase for trash service, on new trucks that were promised eight or nine months ago.
On May 1st the city had set a self-imposed deadline of June 30th to order the trucks...which has not happened.
Mayor Everson also discussed setting up a new city department to allow more profitable use of City and MRDD buses, ODOT funding, and the fuel depot - called the "Chillicothe Contract Transit Department."
Council also spent more than an hour in an executive session discussing "personnel issues, specifically, hiring."
