The Ross County Sheriff says the female body has not been identified at this time.

The body of an unidentified female has been pulled from Paint Creek, near Falls Road, west of Bainbridge.

Lt. Mike Preston of the Ross County Sheriff Office says people in kayaks riding Paint Creek, discovered the body at approximately 3:30pm Saturday. Preston says the body was lodged on a sandbar in the creek, which made it difficult for deputies to gain access.

The body was finally recovered at 5:30pm behind the 500 block of Falls Road.

Lt. Preston says the body is being sent to the Montgomery County Coroner for identification and cause of death. He added that at this point, they have also been unable to determine the race or age of the body.
