Adena will take over day to day operations

Adena Health System is taking over the reins of the Pike Health System.

This announcement came early Wednesday, in a board room at Pike Community Hospital filled with current employees, board members, County Commissioners and news media.

Jeff Graham Chief Strategy Officer of Adena Heath System, stated  he is "very happy to announce that the Board of Trustees of Pike Hospital and Adena Heath System, have agreed and have signed documentation that the affiliation will go forward, and it is now official that Pike Hospital will become a part of Adena Heath System."

The arrangement provides Pike with improved access to capital investments, more state of the art treatment and care, and the opportunity for Pike's employees to make career advancements.

Pike Heath Services President and Chief Executive Officer Craig Solle, said this is a positive move for the care of the community by  promoting the growth of new services they might not have been able to offer before.

Adena Heath System President and Chief Executive Officer Mark Shuter, believes that  March first is the projected start time for Adena and Pike to officially become one as far as the day to day operations.
