The new Chillicothe mayor hopes for better relations with area townships
Chillicothe Mayor Jack Everson is hopeful he can work to rebuild ties with surrounding townships in Ross County, in efforts to push forward with economic development.
Everson tried to put surrounding communities at ease, when he said "annexation is off his radar at this time" and says he knows the city needs to do some "fence mending" with some of it's neighbors. Chillicothe's new mayor says is has no plans for annexation, until the city can adequately take care of what commitments they have already made- such as in Neenah Gardens.
Everson says although he has only been on the job for less than two weeks, he is trying to show "good will" to those that might have been alienated in recent years.
