Council officially rejected the police union's terms of negotiations in a special session.
After explaining last week how the city was caught between closing hours and a deadline, Mayor Everson called council to vote "no" on what many agree is bargaining that unfairly favors the police union.
Tom Trutschel said he can't accept that this was intentionally done by the city's employees, and Dustin Proehl said he hopes this is not a reversal of the hoped-for improving relations with the F.O.P.

The city has appealed to a state board to try for a different resolution, but they may not agree...and Mayor Everson said there was no way to know when they will meet and decide.
