Marijuana Found in Traffic Stop

Two people were arrested for trafficking after stopped on US 23 in Pike County, Sunday.

Authorities arrested two people for drug trafficking after a traffic stop, Sunday afternoon. Officials from the Highway Patrol say they stopped a vehicle on US 23 in Pike County for a traffic violation, but, in the process, they smelled marijuana.

A search yielded over a pound of marijuana and over $2,500 in cash.

The driver, 33-year-old Jamie Jackson, of Kentucky, and passenger, 39-year-old Quentin King, of West Virginia,  were arrested and taken to the Scioto County Jail for felony possession and trafficking in drugs.
