Paul Arthurs, Jr. was arrested in the incident in which tobacco products were stolen from the convenience store.

A man was arrested after a stolen vehicle was driven into a gas station convenience store, Saturday. Officials from the Ross County Sheriff's Office say an alarm dropped at the Railway Express on Pleasant Valley Road at 5:20am after the vehicle backed through the glass doors and into the store.

A witness told authorities the driver and possibly another subject left in the vehicle, crashed into the guardrail at Clinton Road and Veteran's Parkway, and then fled on foot.

32-year-old Paul Arthurs, Jr., was arrested after authorities found him walking along Anderson Station Road after 8am. Inside the vehicle, which was reported stolen out of Franklin County, were cigarettes and chewing tobacco that had been taken from the store.

Arthurs has been charged with breaking and entering, grand theft, vandalism, and receiving stolen property.

No amount on the stolen merchandise was available.
