Icy Roads Lead to Numerous Crashes

One person was transported by medical helicopter after a crash on Route 50.

Two vehicles were involved in a head-on collision in Ross County, late Monday morning . According to the Highway Patrol, the crash occurred on US 50 near Calvers Lane and Sugar Run Road in Londonderry. At least one person was transported to a hospital by helicopter.

Another accident occurred in front of Paint Valley High School on Route 50. Only one vehicle was involved in the 10:57am crash, and one person was transported to a Greenfield area hospital.

Emergency vehicles were summoned Monday morning for multiple crashes throughout the Scioto Valley, where icy road conditions caused crashes on U.S. Route 23 and 35 among those reported.
