Drug Arrest Follows Pike Stop

A West Virginia motorist is arrested after a traffic stop in Pike County

The Chillicothe Post of the State Highway Patrol stopped a vehicle early Monday night on US Route 23 in Pike County for the traffic violation.

Criminal indicators were observed and the Waverly Police Department responded to assist. A probable cause search of the vehicle revealed 87 grams of cocaine and over a half pound of marijuana.

The driver, 21-year-old Tevin L. Hairston of Williamson, West Virginia was arrested and incarcerated in the Scioto County jail for first degree felonies of possession and trafficking of drugs.
