The highway has reopened following an accident occurred near the Ross County Fairgrounds.

Two men were killed in a head-on crash on State Route 207- between Routes 23 and 104 Wednesday morning.

The Ohio Highway Patrol reports that 39-year-old Laymon "Tommy" Whitt Jr of Chillicothe, along with 24-year-old Kenneth Plowman of Kingston died from injuries suffered in the 4:30am crash. Troopers say Whitt was driving westbound on State Route 207 when Plowman drove his vehicle left-of-center hitting Whitt's vehicle head-on. 

That area of State Route 207 near the Ross County Fairgrounds was closed between 4:45am-8am.

In a separate crash, the northbound lane of U.S. Route 23 at Divide Hill south of Chillicothe, has reopened after a semi tractor-trailer overturned.
