Ross County Sheriff's deputies were originally going to arrest James Seward, Jr., for domestic menacing only.
Authorities say a Chillicothe man was arrested on multiple charges after he resisted arrest. Deputies from the Ross County Sheriff's Office were called to a Moss Hollow Road home at 3:38pm, Wednesday, where 21-year-old James D. Seward, Jr., said he had gotten into an argument with his mother, who told him to leave.
A relative, however, said Seward threatened his grandmother.
Authorities say Seward resisted when they tried to put him in restraints and had to deploy a taser on him. On the way to jail, a deputy reports Seward kept kicking the passenger door and threatened the deputy and his family. Authorities say Seward continued kicking once inside the jail and had to be tased again.
He was charged with domestic menacing, resisting arrest, intimidation, and criminal mischief.
