A woman claims her boyfriend assaulted her, Thursday.
A lovers' spat left one person in jail, early Thursday. While on patrol at midnight, Chillicothe Police came across a 28-year-old woman who was crying, had a nose bleed, and a swollen eye. She said she returned to her Eastern Avenue home and found her boyfriend, 29-year-old Nathan Cook with another woman. The victim said she left but returned because she forgot her keys. She said Cook chased her into her yard, punched her, and pulled her hair, while the other woman left.
Officers found much of the victim's hair in the yard.
Officers found Cook in the backyard, intoxicated, with scratches, bitemarks, and blood splattered on his shorts. Cook said his girlfriend wounded him, but that her injuries were the result of a fight between her and the other woman.
Cook was arrested and charged with domestic violence and assault.
