Pickaway County Farmer Richard Clifton nominated Westfall's Chapter
The Westfall FFA Chapter recently received a $2,500 grant from the Monsanto Company. The chapter was nominated to receive the grant by Pickaway County farmer Richard Clifton. The grant was presented to Westfall FFA Chapter President Macie Wippel by Monsanto representative Jamie May at the chapter’s Feb. 29 meeting.
Through America’s Farmers Grow Communitiessm, sponsored by the Monsanto Fund, farmers can win $2,500 for their favorite community nonprofit. Last year, winning farmers directed $490,000 to 196 FFA chapters across the country. The program is part of a broad commitment by the Monsanto Fund to invest in farm communities, in order to highlight the important contributions farmers make every day to our society. One winner is selected in each of 1,245 eligible counties in 39 states.
The Westfall Agricultural Education department is a satellite program of the Pickaway-Ross Career and Technology Center.
