Chillicothe officials are reallocating funds to meet budget demands.
Chillicothe City officials say they are walking a tight rope on some of their finances and are keeping their fingers crossed that nothing bad happens to send a tight budget into the red.
City Council member Pat Patrick says they have been shuffling some money to different areas that are seeing higher expenses: "The bill we got from the Board of Elections for last year's elections was over $50,000; previously, it had run about $8,000."
Patrick said the money the city saved on road salt and manpower during the winter months will go toward that elections bill.
She also said they received about $150,000 less in estate taxes due to some changes.
