Circleville is getting a new dump truck, and said "no" to an idea the general assembly has.
A 1992 dump truck is being replaced with a new one, with the help of a purchasing program through the state. Service director John Ankrom was in the audience, watching council pass two ordinances to allow that.
It comes complete with a stainless steel bed, salt spreader, and a snow plow...ready to fight next winter's weather.

Council member Monica Justinger led council to pass a resolution opposing something the state legislature is considering - the state would handle city income taxes.
She says this weakens the right for towns and cities to govern themselves, and will probably slow down and reduce the number of payments of tax revenue.
More then 150 other cities and villages have done the same.

Council also set the deposit to get city water service to be the same for renters as it is for owners.
Council then went into executive session to discuss "trade secrets" with Berger Health System, a public institution of which the city is a founding member and appoints members to its board.
