The suspect in two recent burglaries, was caught with the stolen items as he was walking into the courthouse on other charges.
The Chillicothe Police Department has charged 28-year-old Christopher Blazer of Pleasant Valley Road with 2 counts of receiving stolen property in connection with vehicles being broken into on the North side of Chillicothe. Blazer has been charged with possessing property that was stolen from a vehicle on Cheyenne Drive and a vehicle on Delaware Drive.
Blazer attended a pre-trial in Chillicothe Municipal Court on April 3rd, on unrelated charges, and was found to be in possession of the stolen items when he entered the court house. Chillicothe Municipal Court security found these items on Blazer and contacted the Chillicothe Police Department who then completed the investigation and charged Blazer.
Police are also looking into the possibility that Blazer might be connected to a rash of vehicle break-ins that totaled over 20 in Chillicothe.
