Mike Smith - News/Sports Director
Mike Smith has been in broadcasting since 1978, and has been News & Sports Director since 1982. Mike has now worked for every radio station in Chillicothe and Waverly and has led WKKJ/WBEX to dozens of Associated Press News/Sports awards. In Sports, Mike has done play-by-play on over 1,800 high school and college games and is a four-time AP "Ohio Sportscaster of the Year". Twice, he's been honored in the category of AP "News Reporter of the Year". He was born in Greenfield and resides in Frankfort with his wife Laura and daughter Sara.



Christina Wolford
Christina Wolford, a native of Chillicothe, is the afternoon news anchor.  Christina has been in broadcasting for 18 years and has been covering news in the Scioto Valley for 15 years, anchoring in the studio and reporting in the field. Christina was awarded News Anchor of the Year by the Ohio Associated Press for 2007.  Christina is a huge country fan and has interviewed several country stars for WKKJ.   Christina and her husband Dan have four daughters- Sarah, Kaitlyn, Gabrielle, and Danielle.



Vanessa Doyle
Vanessa Doyle is the weekend news anchor and has been working for the Chillicothe Radio stations for almost two years. Vanessa also serves as a news reporter on weekdays in addition to her many other programming duties at the station.
