Rock for the Red Cross
Mary McCord dropped by the studio during her normal timeslot on Friday, but this week she was accompanied by Tony Cottrill, Derek Potter, and Marty McKeever of the rock group Teazer. Teazer formed 30 years ago in Chillicothe, but just recently reunited it's band members from all over the nation thanks to Social media. Now they've got a new CD out titled "Resurrection" and they will be playing at the Rock For Red Cross coming up on July 29th and 30th at the Majestic Theatre in Chillicothe. Movie Day with Kevin Carr
Kevin Carr of FatGuysAtThe Movies.com talks about two movies coming out this holiday weekend. The first movie is the action blockbuster "Transformers 3: Dark of the Moon." Carr says the latest installment of the Transformer's series offers a lot more than the sequal and also is in 3-D. The Other movie discussed is the romatic comedy "Larry Crown," which Carr metions is watchable becuase of Tom Hanks and Julia Roberts but is more of a fluffy movie. The Emerald Ash Borer Beatle
Sharon Lucik is the Public Affairs Specialist with the US Department of Agriculture and was on the program Thursday talking about the dangers of the Emerald Ash Borer Beatle and moving firewood. Emerald Ash Borer Beatles orginated in Asia, but hitchhiked over to the United States on trade ships years ago. Now they're destroying trees at an alarming rate, while also continuing their hitchiking ways and moving across the Country. Sharon talks about how we can avoid losing our trees and State parks to this pest. LISTEN
