West Virginia won Game 1 of the Prospect League Championship Series Thursday night.

Miners starter Sam Lewis struck out 18 Dubois County batters as West Virginia doubled up the Bombers 4-2 in Beckley.

While most of the Bombers lineup had trouble hitting Lewis, Cody Daily had three hits for Dubois County.

Game 2 of the series is Saturday night at Dubois County.
