Cavs Dominate All-SEOAL Girls Tennis
Chillicothe lands five players on All-League Team and two more Honorable Mentions.

The Lady Cavs Tennis team landed five players on the All-SEOAL Girls Tennis Team for 2012 and Chillicothe’s Janet Disbennett is the Coach of the Year.

The team includes three Singles players, Taylor Sprouse (1st), Parisa Bennett (2nd) and Liann VanVolinburg (3rd) and the 1st Doubles Team of Courtney Berry-Emily Schmitt. The Cavs’ 2nd Doubles Team of Tiffany Noel-Amanda Mares received Honorable Mention.

Sprouse’s only loss of the season came to Portsmouth’s Ali Miller who was named Player of the Year for a third consecutive year.

The All-SEOAL team consists of four singles players and two doubles teams as voted upon by league coaches. Doubles teams had to play at least four league matches together. Each team received one automatic honorable mention slot; coaches had the option of naming a singles player or a doubles team.

Final SEOAL standings: Chillicothe 5-0, Portsmouth 3-2, Logan 3-3, Jackson 0-5 (one match, Chillicothe at Portsmouth, was canceled due to weather)
