The Redstreaks stay in the SVC Football title chase with their win
With a 14-12 second quarter lead, the Piketon Redstreaks scored five unanswered touchdowns on their way to a 48-33 win Friday at Paint Valley.
The Bearcats made it a closer final score than the game actually was playing out, as Piketon had built a 48-12 lead. Piketon was playing many of their reserve players when Paint Valley added 21 more points in the fourth quarter. One of those late PV scores was a 105 yard fumble return by Teagen McFadden.
The Redstreaks had some long distance lightning of their own, as Evan Ferguson returned a punt 75 yards for a third quarter TD.
Isaac Brabson shines for Piketon throwing 4 TD passes for 312 yards in the game. The Streaks added 158 yards on the ground for 470 total.
Paint Valley rolled-up 282 total yards, with 207 on the ground.
(4-1) Piketon remains one game behind SVC leading (5-0) Westfall with two to play.
