Cavs Volleyball Team (17-5) sweeps Tri-match with Unioto and #13 Waverly.
CROSS COUNTRY:
Ben Haller finished second in the SEOAL Boys Cross Country Meet Saturday as the Cavaliers placed 3rd overall.
Haller’s 17:20.12 time was 13 seconds behind winner Parker Blain of Warren (17:06.74).
Four Warriors placed in the top 10.
The Cavs’ Lander Zook (18:18.69) and Donavan Lowe (18:21.28) finished 11th and 12th respectively and Mark Hirsch (19:14.13) was 18th.
In the Girls Meet, four Cavaliers placed within 60 seconds of each other… in 18th, Elyse Black (24:11.00) 19th, Geri Cheney (24:15.17) 21st, Joanne Newman-Jones (25:01.47) and 23rd Megan Sparks (25:18.31).
The Lady Cavs placed 4th as a team.
Both the Boys and Girls will run in the Division I District Tournament at Watkins Memorial next Saturday afternoon.

VOLLEYBALL:
In the first match vs Unioto Chillicothe lost the first set 23-25, and won the next two 25-15 and 25-18. Waverly then beat Unioto in two sets but I am not sure of scores. Chillicothe then beat Waverly who is ranked 13th in division two, 25-23 and 25-21.
Cavalier stat leaders for the day were Hayley Robinson with 56 assists and a 88% serving day and 1 ace.Maddi Glendening had 18 kills on the day with Katelyn Martin with 16 and a 18 of 21 serving and 5 aces performance. Kali Kight also went 18 of 21 with 3 aces and 11 kills. Parisa Bennett led the team in digs with 11 on the day.
The two Chillicothe match wins improves their mark to 17-5 overall
Chillicothe now plays Pickerington Central Tuesday at 6pm at Hatton Memorial gym in the first round of the Division I Central District tournament.
