OU-C Volleyball ORCC State Champs
The state crown is a first for Ohio University-Chillicothe Volleyball

OU-Chillicothe Volleyball has won the ORCC State Championship.

The Hilltoppers beat defending champ Akron Wayne in five sets to advance to the finals against Miami Middletown, where they also won in five sets for the school's first state volleyball title.

The Hilltoppers won the first set 25-17, only to lose sets two and three with scores of 25-14, 25-23. OUC then won the fourth set 25-20, & the fifth set 15-13.

Adena grad Hannah Halcomb was selected to the All Tourney team and Southeastern grad Merrilee Dresbach earned Tournament MVP honors.

Kristen McCarty, a Unioto grad and player for the OSU-Newark team, also earned a spot on the All Tourney team.



The Hilltoppers finish the season with a (18-5) record. Members of the team are Halcomb, Dresbach, Maddie Davis, Hannah Miller, Alex Johns, Erin Barnes, Olivia Beavers, Cara Thaxton. Coached by Tara Bethel and Conditioning Coach Brittany Leeson.
